THE TWO VIDEOS BELOW COMPARE
The two production rooms, one of which was for light trap treatment (light trap room) and the other for traditional/conventional
system (traditional room), based largely on the use of synthetic insecticides against mushroom flies, for comparison.
Both production rooms were in the same design and same size (dimensions 6 × 10 m).
The compost used as a growing substrate for Agaricus bisporus and casing material [a mixture of black peat (85%) and calcium carbonate (15%)] were placed simultaneously in both production rooms.
No insecticides were used in the light trap room during the study.
In the traditional room, we did not interfere the grower about the control of mushroom flies throughout the study period, and he implemented a traditional approach, which he applied in previous periods.
However, all other cultural practices (application of casing soil, raking of mycelia, watering, etc.) in both rooms were implemented simultaneously by the grower through the study period.

ecosav-M1
-
This trap is sold with a CE certificate.
-
It protects cultivated mushrooms from the damage of mushroom flies.
-
It enables to grow mushroom without using pesticides, resulting in residue-free mushrooms.
-
It catches mushroom flies of all sizes. (0.5-6 mm)
-
Mushroom flies do not increase population during the mushroom cultivation.
-
The use of trap generally result in approximately an increase of 30% in mushroom yield.
-
In the production room used ecosav-M1, bacterial and fungal diseases remain locally during the cultivation.
-
Mass trapping of mushroom flies using ecosav-M1 reduces enormously in the incidence of mycelial and sporophore damage by the larvae of mushroom flies.
-
In conclusion, mass trapping using ecosav-M1 can be used as an alternative way of controlling mushroom flies.
-
The use of ecosav-M1 in conjunction with good management (in the form of compost pasteurization, fly screening, fumigation of rooms, and general good hygiene) can reduce the use of chemical insecticides, or enable insecticide-free production, and may provide a marketing benefit.
